Victorian house renovation, Shrewsbury

Victorian House Renovation Shrewsbury

What are we up to?

We’re renovating a three-storey Victorian house on Cleveland Street in Shrewsbury. The goal is to preserve the character of the original property while upgrading it to suit modern living. This includes making it more energy-efficient, structurally sound and comfortable.

How are we doing it?

This project includes a full internal strip-out, structural improvements and modernisation works, all carried out with sensitivity to the building’s heritage features. We’re managing every stage which includes coordinating subcontractors, overseeing budgets and timelines, and keeping everything running smoothly. Challenges like ageing infrastructure and awkward layouts are handled with our practical, problem-solving approach.

What’s the latest?

The site is currently undergoing internal and external works. Structural repairs are well underway and internal reconfiguration has started. It’s a live building site, but we’re making strong progress. As is often the case with older buildings, we’ve come across a few hidden surprises, but keeping everything on track.

What the client says

I feel the house is in very safe hands and Alex and the team are moving quickly to accommodate our deadline.
