The brief

Our client commissioned the sensitive restoration and reconfiguration of a five-storey Grade II listed townhouse in a prestigious location. The brief called for a full renovation to reconfigure the space for modern living, whilst respecting the building’s significant heritage status and the rigid conservation constraints that come with Grade II listing.

Our approach

This is conservation management at its most demanding. We’ve developed a methodology that balances heritage preservation with modern functionality, finding solutions that work within strict conservation requirements and project budgets. Our approach emphasises partnership with the client, ensuring every design decision reflects both their vision and the building’s architectural integrity. We’re currently progressing through the contractor quoting stage, where our experience in navigating heritage constraints is invaluable.
